Tritop 120 confirma a Tritop como una banda que entiende el rock progresivo moderno no como un ejercicio de virtuosismo desbocado, sino como un espacio de equilibrio entre técnica, melodía y emoción contenida. El disco se mueve claramente en territorios cercanos a Haken y Dream Theater, aunque filtrados por un enfoque más soft, menos agresivo y más atento a la fluidez del discurso musical.

Las comparaciones son inevitables: hay patrones rítmicos complejos, cambios de compás bien integrados y un uso muy consciente de los teclados, pero todo aparece presentado con una elegancia que evita el exceso. Tritop parece más interesado en construir atmósferas coherentes que en impresionar al oyente a cada compás, y ahí reside buena parte del atractivo del álbum.

El punto culminante del disco es, sin duda, la suite larga, auténtico eje vertebrador del trabajo.
